Objective

The close co-operation and linkage of several sub-contractors and part suppliers, with end-producers introduces the concept of extended enterprises.

The COMPRIE project aims to improve the competitive and innovative power of such extended enterprises by investigating, transferring and implementing innovative methods for co-ordination of distributed production, multi-site planning and control and information linkage and communication mainly in the automotive industrial sector.
