Optimisation of surveillance, technical equipment & procedures to prevent workers from danger attribute to fire, hazardous or toxic gases, firedamp or climatic conditions

Objective

In underground coal mines controlling and surveillance of firedamp or toxic gases, the ventilation, climate control and the early fire indication are some of the most important problems facing miners and mining companies.

The aim of the proposed project is to improve the safety taking into account the competitiveness of coal production by:
- improving the quality of surveillance of underground ambient air
- determining the flow characteristics of firedamp,
- reducing the thermal strain for workers,
- developing technical methods and equipment for controlling and diagnosis of sensitive electrical equipment.
