Objective
The goal of the project is to create a ground for an industrial technology utilising the promising concept of grain size control by means of dispersoidic inoculants placed into the steel microstructure. The project objectives are to create and improve the basic knowledge of grain refining ferroalloys and to develop and establish a new addition technique applicable for steel continuous casting.
The new opportunities for grain size control will have an impact on the development of entirely novel steel grades and products. The project involves partners that have been selected for their specific knowledge and prior work in the field.
