Objective
PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEMS WHICH ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING CONTROL CANNOT BE IMPLEMENTED OR ADAPTED TO THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY WITHOUT CONSIDERABLE EFFORT DUE TO THE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF TEXTILE MANUFACTURERS.
THE AIM OF THIS INITIAL STUDY IS TO EXAMINE THE POSSIBILITIES FOR DEVELOPING INTEGRATED COMMERCIAL AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRIES PRODUCING RELATIVELY SMALL BATCHES IN DISCONTINUOUS MANUFACTURING PROCESSES. THE STUDY WILL CONCERN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCT DESIGN, PRODUCTION PLANNING CAND CONTROL, REAL TIME CONTROL OF PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT, MATERIAL HANDLING THROUGH TO INVENTORY CONTROL AND SALES.
