PV GENERATOR CONNECTED TO THE GRID AT THE SOLAR ENERGY INSTITUTE

Objective

To study the aesthetics of a pv system attached to a university building. It is the first grid connection in Spain, (apart the big pv systems of the utility companies). Electricity back buy price and technical conditions are to be negotiated with the utility company.

On the newly constructed building of the Institute for Solar Energy at the University of Madrid a conventional 16.5 kWp pv system is attached to the facade, the tower and the roof terrace in an aesthetical way.
A 12 kVA inverter is used for the grid connection. The local utility is not involved directly in the project, so the buy-back agreement will be negotiated in a realistic way.
28 MWh/year are expected.
Nr. subsystems : 3 (facade, tower and terrasse)
Power subsystems : 5.7 (facade) + 3.1 (tower) + 7.3 (terrace) +% 0.5 (tower II) kWp

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
