Objective
The aim of the project is a full scale implementation of glass sheltering of a courtyard and other solar energy measures. The project intends to demonstrate how the energy consumption of a city house can be reduced by 50-75% by applying renewable energy and green solutions in connection with a general restoration of the house (urban renewal).
PHASE 1 : Draft projecting (app. 6 months) together with architect, consultant and builder (the inmates). Each element of the project will be drawn with details separately and in coherence (measure : 1:100, 1:50). The builder decide on each question.
PHASE 2 : Projecting (app. 7 months) : Working drawings in the measure of 1:50 (plan), 1:20 (sectional view) and 1:5 (details) are made. A written description of the project is elaborated. The total costs are estimated and a tender will be invited based on this material. A contract with the main contractor is entered.
PHASE 3 : Construction (app. 4-6 months) : it may be necessary to evacuate the inmates temporarily. Current supervision and adaptation of the project.
PHASE 4 : Measuring and dissemination (2 years) : The measuring programme is initiated (interviews, measuring, instruments, etc.)
Articles/lectures for professionals. Showing tours and study visists to the house. Workshops will be arranged in order to evaluate the projecton the spot both for professionals and for interested owners' association, etc.
