Objective
Architectural integration of a 100 kWp grid connected PV-generator on a flat roof of the Berliner Bank in Berlin. The PV generator will comprise two separate PV arrays (each rated at approx 50 kWp), one built with BP modules and the other with Siemens modules. Each array will be connected to its own inverter. The Bank has a commitment to provide attractive loans for private investors in the field of PV.
The engagement for utilization of solar energy should be made visible for the public by an aesthetic general view. Also the future pointing energy concept will support the acceptance in the public. Moreover it will show the preparedness of the main applicant to support such private intentions by favourable financial conditions and own experience.
Grid connected flat-roof top architectural integration of an 100 kWp photovoltaic generator. Installation shall be completed by May 1997, followed by a two year monitoring phase. An estimated electricity production of 75000 kWh/year is expected.
