PV ELECTRIFICATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM IN A RURAL AREA

Objective

Tourism development in the Alpes de Haute Provence by pv electrification of refuges and by illumination of information points.

Three small mountain refuges for walkers are equipped with pv electrification: two refuges, which are unattented, provide only lighting, the third one; attented in summer, has also a water pump and a radio telephone.
23 illuminated information points are erected along the roads. The information points contain information on road conditions and local tourist attractions and services; all are illuminated by pv systems.
