INTEGRATED PV FACADES AND ROOFS

Objective

The project is the realization of 41 PV grid-connected power stations in different circumstances (geographical, climatical, economical and technical) in France for a total power of 45 kWp.
The aim of the project is to :
- valid a new generation technology for specific inverters.
- diffuse this technology to private persons, industry and local collectivities.
- develop management in energy consumption and savings.
PHEBUS is a non profit making association but hopes that there will be economical feedback for the professional partners.
The results are quite close to predictions (an average of more than 1000 kWh per kWp). The new generation of inverters (which need no external connexion box) plus a better design of PV arrays & wiring leads to a benefit up to 10% of production.
Innovative technology :
The project is based on Photovoltaic Electricity (polycristal ) cells. An inverter translate direct current from the cells to alternative current, compatible with the national (EDF) grid. Therefore, the system does not need any battery storage.

Context in which the technology is operating :
The PV arrays take place on roofs of private or collectivity buildings with a best architectural integration. for a better dissemination of this technology, PHEBUS selected 41 sites in 15 regions all over France landscape and towns, and organizes training courses for local partners.

Economic aspects of the technology :
PV energy is clear and without waste for the environment, but it's more expensive than conventional production. Grid connection allows to divide production cost per KWH by three compared with remote stations including battery storage.

Without financial cost (on 30 years), the cost of our kWh amounts to 2,45 FF compared with a conventional cost of 0,90 FF.
We remind that cost of PV cells is forecast to decrease when prices of fossil energy could increase.

Monitoring :
One full year of monitoring is already realised, with rather good results.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
