Objective
Combined PV technology with architectural elements for sun shadow and daylighting. PV elements for energy supply and sun protection. Light direction elements for daylighting of the offices. Upgrading of a building constructed in the 1950s. Total power is 23 kWp.
A facade oriented south with office space is equipped with an adaptive combination of daylighting, transparent insulation, shading, light-directing, and photovoltaic power generation employing tracked photovoltaic shading elements that do not obstruct air circulation. Different structures and actuation methods (motors, thermo-hydraulic elements) will be examined.
Photovoltaically generated electric current will be fed into the public grid (AC) and into the tramway line (DC) via converters. 660 sunshade and reflection elements, 340 p-Si and 320 m-Si PV modules in strings of 477 Wp/540 Wp with string-oriented inverters (SMA), 23 kWp total.
PV modules : 2170 mm x 240 mm, 2 x 18 cells, 48 Wp (Optisol P021036K, c-Si) and 54 Wp (Optisol M021036K, m-Si), Pilkington Solar.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
