1. To facilitate the exhange of information between Member Countries and international organisations regarding the acceptance of new technologies and procedures in transport.

2. To service the Concerted Action Committee to be established for the Concerted Action, by providing a synthesis of results from previous and on-going European research projects in the area and by developing a common understanding among the participants of the requirements for appropriate policy actions and policy needs.
