This project developed X.500 Directory based Gateway & EDI Certification Authority for Digital Signature with Certificate Translation, Management & Access facilities for SMEs & companies active in e-commerce and public authorities setting up Trusted Third Party services.
A software tool-set & gateway service providing authentication certificate and conversion between X.509 & UN EDIFACT standards, packaged with a set of functions for storing, checking, etc. electronic signature certificates used in EDI based trading applications will be commercialised in 1999 by the project partners.
