The objectives of the project were to test new seismic sources and new arrays of sources and recording devices in order to improve marine seismics.
This project was jointly carried out by gerth and cgg.

The apparatus of the multiple flexichoc 506 permitting the deployment of sources is operational.

A series of experiments were carried out, results were analysed during 1979.

Testing of the flexibles have been completed. It appears that this solution requires additional study.
Geometric control of sources and 'fish'.
Tests have been carried out, they have shown the system of geometric control of sources and fish is feasible.
Integral navigation
Tests carried out at beginning of 1979 were judged unsatisfactory and a re-estimation of the performance one can expect to attain with the system studied showed that it will be difficult to obtain system performance in navigation.
