CORRELATOR STACKER DEMULTIPLEXER

Objective

To develop a system for vibroseis oil exploration, making it possible to acquire in the field the full precision correlated and stacked seismic traces in data acquisition real time.
The cs 2502 is very widely used in seismic oil exploration by the vibroseis method.
It provides results directly in the recording truck with the same quality as those of processing centres, thus saving a large amount of computer time.
Through the use of the cs 2502, new methods such as simultaneous double source recording could have been promoted.

The main part of the project is a fast processor to correlate in the time domain two signals in real time without any limitation on source signal length.
The correlation process is performed prior to the stack in order to get more versatility.
The general architecture of the system is modular in order that the needs of the users may easily be met simply by adding processors.
Comprehensive software adapts the system to any scheme of field operations.
