INFOTEN has demonstrated a multimodal information and traffic management system on the trans-European transport network.
A multimodal communication network (a backbone) for public and private transport information services will be made commercially available world-wide. There are major validation sites are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The ultimate beneficiaries will be public authorities, transport operators/managers and travellers (including drivers).
