The project developed a completely new organisation network for rural farming interests.
FRIENDS set up a new agricultural on-line information system in Greece, providing farmers with access to EU agricultural legislation, market prices for products, co-ordinates of producers, information from agribusiness, latest news (in particular weather broadcasts), publications, books (purchase possible) and links to other relevant databases.
FRIENDS will allow the set-up of tele-training courses for farmers using video-conferencing.
