Objective
TELEMART, a trans-European on-line agency for teleworkers, will examine both the services they provide and company assignments to which they might be contracted. It will then set up a virtual marketplace on the Internet where services can be negotiated by prospective clients. Like traditional employment agencies, the system will seek to underwrite service quality, through creation of norms acceptable to both parties. Project information audits will ease business restrictions on teleworking linked to confidentiality or similar issues, while encouraging greater concern for quality and customer needs.
