Objective
In summer '94 under the leadership of the proposer a cooling-house supported by photovoltaic energy will be built up in the western highlands of Crete with the purpose of storing milk products directly at the place of production according to the EC-rules.
The aim of the proposal is to use that cooling-house for research on dimensioning of the regenerative energy supply with the guarantee of managing without any fossile energy help. Knowledge about parameters for 'guarantee results' has to be got by measurements thus energy supply only by solar sources may be guaranted anywhere under comparable climatic conditions.
Improved answers are expected on the questions about dimensioning and technical tools demanded to guarantee the stand-alone supply of a cooling-house by solar energy under any conditions. The experience of the Gran Canarian partner on the field of wind enrgy supply of cooling-houses completes the expected results in photovoltaic supply to apply hybrid systems later on.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
