Objective
*Promote training courses to the design community (architects, engineers) on:
1) Building Thermal Regulations (BTR),
2) AutoCAD interface with BTR,
3) On Passive Solar Technologies;
* Develop application software regarding these issues (RCCTE, RCTCAD and SLR-P), as also manuals and information package;
* To support the effort of dissemination of the concept of rational use of energy and the new thermal regulations, among these community.
BUILDING THERMAL REGULATION COURSES
The present action to carry out practical training courses for professionals and in this way contribute to the dissemination of the National Regulation.
The training courses will take place at the INETI Campus at Lisbon, and each course will have a duration of two days (7 hours/day). The main objective of the courses is to provide to the participants several case studies which will be solved during the course using INETI software. A serie of courses will be carried out, with a maximum number of 15 participants.
The main difference in the courses proposed in this project in relation to previous courses is the fact that the contents of the proposed courses are mainly practical, using the software tools that should be distributed during the course. This limits the maximum number of participants per course.
INTERFACE SOFTWARE (AUTOCAD-RCCTE )
This action will include:
1. The Development of an interface software between program 'AUTOCAD' and the Portuguese building thermal regulation (RCCTE).
2. Promote short training courses on this software for the design community (architects, engineers etc.) and also in the building national regulation.
Software Development
The development of this software will use the main 'AutoCad' programming techniques : The 'AutoLisp' interface or the 'ADS' interface, the 'menus' programming language and the 'dialogue boxes' programming language.
PASSIVE SOLAR DESIGN IN PORTUGAL
This action pretend to produce a simpliefied method (software and manual) text book which will support dissemination activities and the design community in general.
Courses
A serie of courses will be performed at INETI campus in Lisbon in order to test the program prepared having the text book and the software as a base for new courses to be organised in the framework of other proposals. The present courses will reach a maximum of 150 professionals, in consequence of the interactive second day course in using the software tools.
As said before the course could reach a great variety of audience but the courses here revered, will be preferentially for private professionals which deal with the 'production' of buildings.
