Action for rational use of energy

Objective

Education and information on energy management to Consumer Association and to small and medium factories.
The training of 100 energy managers working at a national level, supplying information on the use of energy, any possible saving measure, fiscal facilities, tax concessions, investments required. This activity of information and advise can lead thousand of citizens and enterprises to make their choice as to:
- investments on buildings insulation
- replacement of electric water-heater (very common in the houses) with gas/natural gas heater
- replacement of obsolete heating systems with independent central heating
- greater use of solar panels in Southern regions
- more rational use of household appliances and replacement of obsolete ones
- lighting, replacement of the old incandescent lamps
- a more regular maintenance of the heating systems' boilers.
The rational use of energy and the activities oriented toward energy saving require the presence of managers with appropriate technical and legal knowledges. Adiconsum, thanks to its 80 informational counters located in the main towns and thanks also to the support of the CISL Trade Union, can provide information and technical advice relating to possible measures of energy saving and to the financial facilities and tax concessions involved, both to families and to the enterprises.
The proposal envisages the training of 100 managers coming from Northern/Central/Southern regions of the country through 2 national seminars.
At the end of the seminars, these managers will be qualified as technicians in the field of energy saving (energy managers) and will work for:
- the families: they will carry out their activity through the Adiconsum informational counters;
- the workers: they will carry out their activity during meetings organized to discuss energy saving matters;
- the technicians will be also interested in the investments of the enterprises which are discussed every year by the trade unions in order to assess their effects on employment, energy and environment.
The project will be carried out by Adiconsum with the collaboration of FIRE (the Italian Federation for the Nationale Use of Energy) and of CISL (The Italian Confederation of Trade unions), and in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Industry which is responsible for the energy policy. The training seminars will be supported by informational materials addressed to the users ant to the small and medium enterprises.
