Annual self-audit and statement of energy accounts

Objectif

- Encourage companies to undertake energy audits to allow them to make an annual statement of energy accounts
- Increase awareness of the importance of energy efficiency
- Realise energy savings
- Reduce emissions to the environment
On completion of the initial pilot phase with the ten companies all the final versions of the elements for the replication package will be in place. This package will then be used to promote the concept of self auditing and statement of accounts to Irish Industry generally.
A select group of ten representative industrial concerns are working, with Forbairt support, on the development of a suitable energy auditing procedure and form of statement of annual energy accounts with a view to their publication in the companies annual reports.
The statement to be included will cover
- achievements in the last year (historical)
- energy usage statement for the year (current)
- goals for the coming year (predictive)
Ten companies, representative of their sectors by size and activity, have been chosen to participate. With Forbairt assistance, each of the companies in 1994 will have completed the necessary self audit and the following will be produced:
- Guidelines for self audit statements;
- Ten annual audit statements;
- Award Ceremony for above;
- Video of Why, How and With What benefits (Case Histories);
- Replication Package.
