Objective
The objective of this project is the drawing up of a cogeneration standard contract which bears in mind the specific nature and needs of the industrial and service sectors.
The expected result from this project is the drawing up of a cogeneration standard contract taking into consideration the portuguese needs in the industrial and service sectors.
The drawing up of a cogeneration standard contract for the portuguese industry and service sectors was made taking into consideration the following steps/ideas:
I - Analysis of the institutional and legal context;
II - The concept of cogeneration bearing in mind conventional, combined cycle and cogeneration-absoption technologies allowing for the combined production of electricity, cold and heat;
III - Assessment of the potential market for cogeneration with special emphasis on the introduction of natural gas in Portugal and on the new structure for the Portuguese Electrical System;
IV - Drawing up a Cogeneration Standard Contract which bears in mind the specific nature and needs of the industrial and service sectors;
V - Drawing up of the draft version of the Final report and discussion of the results obtained;
VI - Final report.
