Torino old houses energy recovery

Objective

Research Project for introducing energy saving opportunities on 10345 housing units owned by the City of Turin.
- Coming to know energy operating costs in detail.
- Developing a method to be followed in the action on the existing building estates.
- Ascertaining how the planned action will be accepted by users.
- Starting a proper campaign aimed at making the public aware of the energy problem.
The Project purpose is to achieve a number of objectives over the envisaged period of time, namely:
a. Establishing a computerized file of physical and thermotechnical features of buildings, in order to enable owners to become better acquainted with their properties.
b. Establishing a computerized file of social and economic characteristics of user.
c. Identifying and classifying the actions to be taken, Identifying the actions having the highest degree of potential.
All the Project steps will be explained on a video tape, so that the programme results can be easily circulated. Circulation of programme information will be on a local, national and international level.
