Energy Efficiency Education in Hungary

Objectif

To promote energy management education in Hungary. This will involved organiseng the structure of the Energy Centre to enable it to fulfil its tasks, and equipping it with the resources required to carry out a series of measures in the area of information and training.
Bearing in mind the unique quality of this project and its various aspects, it is difficult to estimate the results in quantitative terms. Nevertheless, in view of the high energy consumption of Hungary, especially in the domestic and service sectors it is expected that an energy saving campaign will contribute to the development of an "energy efficient culture" in Hungary.
* A list of basic publications will be drawn up in accordance with the energy situation of the country and the most immediate requirements.
* A number of workshops will also be organize to complement training in the areas selected as high priorities with regard to the publications.

The project has been organised with a close cooperation between the Institut Catala d'Energia and the Hungary-EC Energy Centre. The former will provide its operational structure and knowledge of the energy situation int he country, and the latter will contribute its know-how in the field of energy efficiency in Catalonia, particularly its wide experience in the publication of technical and informational materials.
