Objective
Realisation of3 guides drawn up by professionals concerning Air-Conditioning systems design in (non residential buildings) buildings and industry.
1 of these guides collects works done in France by AICVF, in Italy by AICARR and in the UK by CIBSE. This french-italian-english guide is drawn up in english and will be developed under the auspices of the REHVA Technical Committee. This will be usefull for future other works of european normalization + will provide an alternative to USA methods.These guides aim at giving a working method to the designers (research depts), at making sensitive the work masters (energy consumptions forecast, global cost) at giving tools to public powers for the system certification, and lastly at providing to maintenance departments the way to system supervise.The professionals formation in the teaching depts is also contemplate by the realization of these guides: AICVF, AICARR and CIBSE have always had a vocation in helping at the professionals formation
3 guides are developed
1-'Guide d'estimation des consommations énergétiques des installations de climatisation': more + more buildings owners are interested in knowing the energy consumption of their HVAC systems. A french regulation is under preparation about that.The objective is to propose to the designers methods to evaluate the energy consumptions.Such a guide is complementary to sectorial approaches for energy efficient buildings.
2-'Guide de conception des installations de climatisation + de conditionnement d'air industriel': to improve the quality of the HVAC plants, guidelines are necessary summarizing the different aspects of a project.Professional have not such a guide + this is the purpose of AICVF to fulfill this lack;
3-'Guide européen de conception des installations de climatisation' will allow to:-compare + exhibit methods,data+tools used in UK,Italy + Fr. in HVAC systems design-focusing on CIBSE,AICARR + AICVF published documents,+ other sources.Similarities and differences will be underlined.The pre-guide will allow a better circulation of onfo. documenting existing tools + data
-have a manual useful to HVAC designers and especially beginner engineers.The docu. must be self sufficient to be read.An equilibrium must be found between an arid list of references to CIBSE,AICARR + AICVF and an operative book.
- a real REHVA guide establishing a common methodologic frame for HVAC systems design.
-REHVA contribution for an eventual future standardization of methods,data + tools in CEN.
