Objective
The main goal of the project is the defintion of the pocedures to follow by Insurance Co. in the identification of the failure modes, costs and survey procedures of different energy saving installations to cover the loss of revenues.
The failure mode effects of five different types installations (solar, wind, smallhydro, CHP and energy saving in buildings) will be presented as well as the systematic procedures to reduce the risks and to finance them through the use of Insurance Policies. These will cover, at least partially, the loss of revenues caused by the failure of the installation which will help to a most extensive penetration of those technologies. This approach will mainly be applied to projects where the scheme of Third Party Financing would be used, because the lack of coverage once the guarantees of the supplier are finished, has been a limitation of this scheme. The project is organised in seven Phases: 1/ Systems Reliability Study; 2./ Evaluation of the Manteinance Services; 3./ Appraisal of the Suplier Guarantees; 4./ Modes of operation of the plant; 5./ Distribution of the questionnaires;6./Institutional role and 7./ Implementation Plan.
