Infuence of rebound effects on energy saving programmes

Objective

Increase knowledge on the rebound-effect and do recommandations on how rebound-effects in current and future energy saving programmes can be minimized.

Phase 1: Development of a behavioral model for the rebound
Phase 2: Application of the model on specific behavioral domains (industry, residential housing, transportation); estimation of the magnitude of the rebound-effect; possible solutions.
Phase 3: Testing of solutions
Phase 4: Formulation of recommendations
