Objective
The objective of the project is to develop a system for a cost-effective and energy efficient supply of everyday commodities even to small stores, with fewer deliveries to each store and yet with unchanged or higher replenishment frequency for each specific article.
Such a system will have to utilize some sort of composite logistics, calling for changes in several respects, such as
- technologically (e.g. vehicles, terminals)
- administratively (e.g. systems for planning and control)
- organizationally (e.g. enlarged producer engagements, third party actors).
The four main phases of the project are as follows:
- To define conceivable scenarios for composite supply systems.
- To calculate the potentioal for improvements in cost-effectiveness, quality and energy efficiency in a specific urban area (Gothenburg).
- To design a draft system for integrated supply in one of the scenarios.
- To plan the realization of a pilot test in the selected area.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
