Organizing FISA and EuradWaste Conference under the Romanian Presidency of EU Council

Project description

Nuclear safety and radioactive waste management under the spotlight

The main goal of the EU-funded FISRAD project is to organise the international conferences ‘FISA 2019’ and ‘EURADWASTE ’19’, which will be held in Romania. Bringing together researchers and policymakers from different Member States and stakeholders from international organisations, research institutions and businesses, the conferences will encourage open debate on nuclear reactor safety, radioactive waste management and education and training in nuclear science. Amongst others, the project will develop a platform for discussion and networking, communicate achievements in nuclear fission research, foster the visibility of the Euratom Research and Training Programme and disseminate scientific knowledge.
