Cyber security competence centres for Europe
Faced with ever-increasing cybersecurity challenges, the European Union is committed to improving its awareness and response to cyber-attacks aimed at Member States or its institutions. CyberSec4Europe aims to boost defences within the vertical sectors of digital infrastructure, finance, government, transport, health and smart cities. The project will utilise practical experience gained during the course of CyberSec4Europe to develop a specialised roadmap and recommendations for the implementation of network competence centres. CyberSec4Europe is a research-based consortium with a total of 44 participants from 21 EU Member States and associated countries. It has received scores of support letters and pledges of cooperation from public administrations, international organisations, and key associations worldwide, including Europe (e.g. ECSO), Asia, and North America.
