A competitive european pulp and paper industry (EPPIC)

Objective

The network will provide a forum for small and medium enterprises concerned with European pulp and paper manufacturing for knowledge acquisition of state of the art technological practices and production planning so as to ensure and promote their global competitiveness and increase sustainable paper production. In order to develop these strategies, the network includes members from four disciplines: paper-mills, suppliers, consultants and RTD performers.

The aim of the network is:
1) to benchmark the current state of the art;
2) to obtain a vertical integration of expertise, technology and policy involved in the field of integrated water, energy and waste management and utilization of innovative optimisation techniques in order to reduce production costs;
3) to exchange present knowledge and disseminate it to end-users and suppliers and to act as the interface between science, end-user and supplier to increase European competitiveness.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
