An Agreement extending BC-NET (the Business Cooperation Network) to Czechoslovakia was signed in Brussels on Thursday, 8th October 1992. The Czechoslovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry will operate BC-NET via offices located in Prague and Bratislava. BC-NET was launched by the Business Cooperation Centre in 1988 with computer facilities at the CEC, aimed at promoting financial and technological cooperation. Via a European network of some 600 advisory/specialist agencies, BC-NET facilitates searches for business partners on an inter-regional and cross-frontier basis. It uses a specific nomenclature and has dealt with over 63,000 cooperation requests covering every type of activity and a wide range of cooperation in commercial, financial and technical areas
