Composting and Separate Collection
The European Commission, DG XI, has published an invitation to tender relating to waste management policy, covering France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom. The main objectives of the study are to: - Write a manual addressed to the local authorities in the above-mentioned Member States for the promotion of home composting and the separate collection of the biodegradable fraction of municipal waste, and translate this manual into English, French, Italian, Greek, Spanish, and Portuguese; - Produce a user-friendly Web-version of the manual in these languages for the Commission's Web-site. The team must be technically capable of carrying out an analysis that is representative of the seven Member States. The contract will continue for six months from the date of signature.
