Active and Healthy Ageing: SENATOR software provides drug and non-drug therapy advice for multi-morbid older people

EU-funded SENATOR project develops new software engine for the assessment and optimisation of drug and non-drug therapy in older persons

In Europe, two thirds of people above 65 are suffering from multi-morbidity. This leads to polypharmacy and often to adverse drug events due to inappropriate prescribing. The European-funded SENATOR project has therefore developed and tested a highly efficient software engine for the assessment and optimisation of drug and non-drug therapy in multi-morbid older people. This video displays the problems connected with multi-morbidity and the hopes connected with the SENATOR trial and software.
