The European Commission (EC), Directorate General XII, has recently updated a number of the webpages on its webservice for the Joint Action programme for Environment and Climate and MAST-III, run under the auspices of the EC's Fourth Framework Programme (FP4) for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration (RTD). Links have been added to the MAST-III website for the following projects: - Marine Systems Research: - - AUTOFLUX: An autonomous system for monitoring air-sea fluxes using the inertial dissipation method and ship-mounted instrumentation; - - MAS3-CT950021: Hydrothermal fluxes and biological production in the Aegean; - Strategic Marine Research - Coastal and shelf sea research: - - ESPED: European shore platform erosion dynamics; - EULIT: Effects of eutrophicated seawater on rocky shore ecosystems studied in large littoral mesocosms; - CHABADA: Changes in bacterial diversity and activity in Mediterranean coastal waters as affected by eutrophication; - Strategic Marine Research - Coastal engineering: - - AGMASCO: Development of an airborne geoid-mapping system for coastal oceanography; - Marine Technology: Advanced Systems: - - DEBYE: Transmission of electromagnetic waves through sea water for imaging parameter measuring and communications; - - HYACE: Hydrate autoclave coring equipment system. Additionally, links have been added to the website for TERI projects, including: - DART: Dynamic response of the forest-tundra ecotone to environmental change; - SUITE: Sulfonates in terrestrial environments; - LAKES: Long distance dispersal in aquatic key species.
