By a Decision of the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States of the European Communities (subject to the implementation, following the entry into force of the Treaty on European Union, of the new Article 158 added by that treaty to the Treaty establishing the European Community), the following are appointed members of the Commission of the European Communities from 6 January 1993: - Dr. M. Bangemann (Industrial Affairs; Information and Communication Technologies). - The Rt. Hon. Sir Leon Brittan (External Economic Affairs; Trade). - Mr. H. Christopherson (Economic and Financial Affairs; Monetary Affairs; Credit and Investments; Statistical Office). - Prof. Dr. J. de Deus Rogado Salvador Pinheiro (Relations with the European Parliament; Information Policy and Relations with the Member States; Cultural and Audiovisual Affairs; Office for Official Publications). - Mr. Padraig Flynn (Social Affairs and Employment; Immigration; Relations with the Economic and Social Committee; Judicial Affairs). - Mr. Manuel Marin Gonzalez (Cooperation and Development; Humanitarian Aid). - Mr. Abel Matutes Juan (Transport; Energy). - The Rt.
