The European Commission, Directorate-General XI, has recently published an open call for technical assistance for the monitoring of LIFE actions (in the field of the environment) in one or more European Union (EU) Member States. The announcement relates to work in the area of environment, nuclear safety and civil protection. The Commission is awarding eight technical assistance contracts to monitor LIFE actions (in the environment field) in the EU Member States. The tasks to be performed by the contractor will include: - Support to the information campaigns on LIFE instrument, in the geographical area of competence; - Support to the revision of the new selected proposals; - Support to the monitoring of the actions; - Expert advice. The contracts, for 36 months, will be based on annual renewable contracts. Selection criteria for the work will depend on the following factors: - Registration; - Financial and economic standing; - Composition of the team; - Experience of the team; - Scientific competence of the team; - Independence. They will be awarded on the basis of the following factors: - Understanding of the requirements; - Methodology; - Project team proposed; - Quality of the final products; - Price of the proposal.
