Call for technical assistance in field of industrial affairs
The European Commission, Directorate General III (Industry), has recently published a call for expressions of interest for the provision of assistance in relation to industrial affairs. Several lists of service providers will be drawn up following of this call, from which organisations may be invited to respond to calls for tenders which are not published separately in the Official Journal of the European Communities. The fields covered by the call include: - Studies and consulting services related to legal, economic or standardisation aspects of electronic commerce; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses of the relationship between environment and industry; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses of aspects of the iron and steel industry, including first processing; - Legal, economic, technical and/or statistical analyses of the information and communication technology industries; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses of the mining industry and the raw materials industry; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses of aspects of the recycling industries; - Chemicals, plastics and rubber industries: - - Chemical risk assessment; - - Cost/benefit analyses; - - European industrial competitiveness; - - Economic aspects of environmental policies; - Legal, economic, environmental, social, industrial and/or statistical analyses of the forest-based and related industries comprising the following six sectors: - - Forestry; - - Woodworking; - - Pulp, paper and board production; - - Pulp, paper and board converting; - - Printing; - - Publishing; - Information gathering and analyses concerning research and development, innovation, energy, materials and process, waste and recycling, skills, vocational training, ICT and media relevant to the six sectors (as above) of the forest-based and related industries; - Foodstuff legislation: surveillance and analyses of Community directives; - Foodstuff legislation: Analyses of the implementation of Community directives (e.g. additives, labelling, nutritional labelling, hygiene etc.); - Foodstuff legislation: materials and objects in contact with foodstuff; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses in the field of biotechnology; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses in the field of food production; - - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses in the field of medicinal products for human and veterinary use; - Legal, economic and/or statistical analyses in the field of cosmetics; - Textiles and clothing: statistics, industrial analyses, technological and technical assistance, technical textiles; - Footwear, leather and furniture: statistics, industrial analyses. Companies or individuals who are already on the list of established consultants (as a result of a notice published in the Official Journal of 15 June 1996), will not automatically appear on the new list of consultants and must submit a new application.
