Informatics tools to improve welfare controls for animals
Informatics tools that would improve the welfare controls for animals destined to be slaughtered will be the subject of an invitation to tender issued by the European Commission. A prior information notice has been published in the Official Journal regarding the development of such tools that would help the administrations of Member States when transporting animals. It is anticipated that an invitation to tender will be published in September or October 1999.
