Modular pulse processing electronics for radiation measurements
Companies willing to supply modular processing electronics for radiation measurements have been invited to submit expressions of interest to the European Commission's Joint Research Centre for inclusion in a list of suppliers. The equipment is needed by the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM) where radiation measurements are being performed for research purposes and for the characterisation of materials. The IRMM's activities include neutron measurements, neutron time-of-flight spectrometry, gamma- and X-ray spectrometry, beta spectrometry, alpha spectrometry and fission-fragment spectrometry. Detection equipment includes germanium and silicon solid-state detectors, various types of scintillator detectors, ionisation chambers and proportional counters. The tender is divided into 14 lots, including NIM bins with power supply; HV supplies; preamplifiers; spectroscopic/shaping amplifiers; timing/fast amplifiers; time pick-off discriminators; time-to-analogue converters; peak-sensing ACDs; transient recorders; logic units; linear pulse processing units; precision pulsers; counters/scalers/pulsers; and CAMAC-based acquisition and ancillary units.
