Poland to participate in Community research programmes
The terms and conditions for Poland's participation in Community research programmes adopted by the EU-Poland Association Council have been published in the Official Journal. Poland may now participate in the Fifth Framework Programme, specific programmes, projects or other EU actions in the fields of research and technological development with the same rights and obligations as EU Member States. A technology management plan (TMP) will be concluded between the participants on the implementation of joint research and the respective rights and obligations of participants. With respect to intellectual property, the TMP will normally deal with ownership, protection and user rights for research and the exploitation of results. Separately from this Agreement, Poland and the EU will reach an agreement to allow researchers and organisations from the EU to participate in research programmes and activities of Poland corresponding to those of the Fifth Framework Programme.
