The Education Directorate-General has cancelled a prior information notice calling for independent experts for the Leonardo da Vinci programme. The notice was originally published on the Official Journal of the European Communities, No S 47 of 8.3.2000 and reported in CORDIS under RCN: 14464. In a statement published on OJ No S 103 of 30.05.2000 the Commission states: 'Due to having a very tight timetable for the implementation of the first selection exercise in the second phase of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, the European Commission is not in a position this year to initiate the contract announced in OJEC S 47 of 8.3.2000. 'The Commission will provide information on the procedure it will follow for selecting experts called upon to take part in the next exercise to evaluate pre-proposals and proposals (in 2001).'
