Technological landscapes for tomorrow's cultural economy
A call for tenders for a study on state-of-the-art and future trends in the use and development of information and communication technologies for and within the cultural sector is now open. The European Commission's Information Society DG is inviting tenders in contribution to its initiative on 'technological landscapes for tomorrow's cultural economy (Digicult)'. The main findings of the study should serve as a reference guide and road map. It should inform the actors in the sector about the problems and opportunities that new technology create. The study should cover technology issues as much as organisational and economical ones. In-depth knowledge of culture-specific issues is required and work will be carried out mainly through a network of experts. Dissemination of results will also be an integral part of the study.
