Technology, money and the Med
As a background study to a conference on the Euro-Mediterranean partnership to be organised in 2001, the Institute for Prospective Technological studies (IPTS) is launching a call for tenders for a study on the impact of the transfer of new and advanced technology embedded in foreign direct investment (FDI) on Mediterranean partner countries' (MPCs') economies. Tenderers are asked to carry out a study that will assess the expected benefits stemming from the increased FDI in enabling MPCs to be competitive in the Euro-Mediterranean free trade area. The MPCs subject to analysis (minimum of two) for the scope of the study are of the tenderers choice, within the conditions specified in the technical specifications.
