Study contracts in the field of conformity and standardisation, new approach and industries under new approach, will shortly be available from the European Commission's Enterprise Directorate-General. Services will be required in the following areas: - study on the impact of implementing the mutual recognition agreements (MRA) (35,000 euro); - administrative coordination of notified bodies in the field of conformity certification (600,000 euro); - support for the development of a new European infrastructure in the field of conformity certification (200,000 euro); - business impact assessment on proposed new legislation in the field of packaging (metrology aspects) (50,000 euro); - business impact assessment on proposed new legislation in the field of packaging (aspects concerning range and volume) (50,000 euro); - business impact assessment on proposed legislation on modifications to automobiles in order to increase the safety of pedestrians in accidents (analysis of options and their impact) (50,000 euro); - Three business impact assessments on various industrial sectors (50,000 x 3 = 150,000 euro); - administration of the constant updating and running of TICQA database on the Internet; this database holds infrastructures which provide services to do with quality for conformity assessment procedures (350,000 euro); - assessment to the economic impact of conformity assessment procedures (100,000 euro); - study on costs/benefits resulting from European standardisation (50,000 euro); - running of the technical secretariat for the coordination of the competent bodies under Directive 89/336/EEC on electromagnetic computability (EMC). One -year contract, renewable for two further years (20,000 euro per year x 3 = 60,000 euro). - Running of the technical secretariat for the coordination of notified bodies coming under Directive 94/9/EC concerning equipment and systems intended for use in explosive atmospheres (ATEX). 1-year contract, renewable for two further years (20,000 euro per year x 3 = 60,000 euro). - Technical assistance as listed in the official pre-information notice published in the Official Journal of the European Communities at the reference below.
