The European Commission's Energy and Transport DG has issued an invitation to tender for a study on benchmarking for best practices in air traffic management within the European Community. The regulatory system to be established within the singly sky initiative requires information sharing and systematic benchmarking so that local barriers impacting on regional efficiency can be identified and their removal prioritised. The study aims at establishing the basis for a comprehensive benchmarking of air traffic management, covering the Community area and third countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and United States).
