Call for tenders for study on biotechnology legislation
The European Commission has published a call for tenders for means to improve the consistency and efficiency of the legislative framework in the field of biotechnology Article 31. The objective of this project is to collect and prepare data as a basis for the report referred to in Directive 2001/18/EC. The aim of the study is to conduct an overview on Community legislation in the field of biotechnology, to describe experiences with the implementation of part B and part C releases of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and the resulting implications, and to recommend - if necessary - how to strengthen the consistency and efficiency of this legislation framework.
