CORDIS offers new coverage of national programmes on nanotechnology and related research
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is hosting a new interface on national research programmes related to nanotechnology, materials and production processes. Research on nanotechnology and nanosciences, multifunctional materials and new production processes will be covered by one of the seven thematic priorities under the Sixth Framework programme (FP6). To support added value projects and avoid duplications, the European Commission is carrying out a survey on current national funded activities and initiatives in these fields. The first results of this survey are made available in a searchable interface. Users can select information by free text, country (only in Austria, Finland and Sweden for the moment) or technology fields. The national information available covers for each programme the objectives and participation rules at national level as well as descriptions of priorities and contact details. All the Member States will shortly be covered and accessible through this central search feature. The new page aims to offer a comprehensive gateway and to support the establishment of a European research area combining national and European research efforts.
