SPRINT tender for 1994 Design Prize Exhibition
The European Commission has issued a call for tenders for the organization of the travelling exhibition of the 1994 European Community Design Prize Exhibition. As part of the SPRINT programme for innovation and technology transfer, the Commission has created a European Community Design Prize (ECDP) in order to promote design as a factor of competitiveness and technological innovation, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In view of the success of the travelling exhibition of the Design Prize which has taken place in previous years, the Commission has decided to extend the event to EFTA countries and countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The organization of the 1994 travelling exhibition involves transport and maintenance, erection and dismantling of the exhibition (including administrative formalities and insurance) in ten capitals in the countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Romania, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria. The Commission will cover the costs of the exhibition (transport, assistance, maintenance) minus any contributions from sponsors.
