Second joint IST-nanotechnologies call
The European Commission has published the second joint call for proposals in the area of IST and nanotechnologies under the Sixth Framework Programme's 'information society technologies' and 'nanotechnologies and nanosciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials, and new production processes and devices' activities. This is one of the areas covered by the 'Integrating and strengthening the European Research Area' specific programme. The areas covered by this call are: - IST-NMP-1: integrating technologies for the fast and flexible manufacturing enterprise; - IST-NMP-2: bio-sensors for diagnosis and healthcare; - IST-NMP-3: materials, equipment and processes for production of nano-photonic and nano-electronic devices. In specifying the instruments to be used in these areas, the call requests the use of Integrated Projects, specific targeted research projects and specific support actions.
